Repair Parking Areas, Mission & Installation Contracting Command, Herrera Hall: Prime Contractor $24,878
SWP was responsible for making parking lot repairs at the Herrera Hall Army Reserve Center in Mesa, AZ including adequate traffic and parking control for the duration of the project. The work was completed in stages to give the owner ample time to coordinate facility activities and to ensure material had time to cure before allowing traffic and parking on new surfaces.

Work included:
- Crack sealing
- Crack sealing consisted of any and all cracks in existing POV, MEP, and roadway areas to be properly prepared by mechanical routing; cleaning of vegetation, dust, and debris; and application of a hot-applied rubberized asphalt product (CRAFCO Polyflex Type III).
- T-tops asphalt patches
- T-tops asphalt patches were completed for cracks greater than 1” in width. The work included milling a minimum of 18” wide full depth section, removing sediment and loose material, recompacting sub grade, milling an additional 9” on each side, placement of MAG ½” specification hot asphaltic concrete, and compaction efforts.
- Sawcut asphalt patches
- A large saw cut asphalt patch was completed in one specific area that had been damaged by a diesel fuel spill. This area was saw cut and milled and material disposed of off-site, a MAG ½” specification hot asphaltic concrete was placed back and was compacted to match the surrounding parking lot.
