Pavement Maintenance JOC

City of Yuma – Pavement Maintenance JOC

SWP was responsible for removing all trash and debris from the roadway and all aspects of pavement maintenance during the term of the agreement.  SWP conducted surveying of the thermoplastic pavement markings located at more than 75 City of Yuma intersections and more than 500 miles of roads for the following: chevrons, stop bars, crosswalks, delineators, arrows, reflectors, ceramic buttons, and striping. SWP replaced existing markings that fail inspection. During the slurry seal season, SWP conducted pre-marking of the pavement and once the slurry had cured, remarked the pavement to its original state of road markings. This process was conducted twice a year, March through May and September through November. Additionally, SWP applied asphalt sealant such as TRMSS, Optipave, PMM, CQS-1H-TR, and LMCQS-1H-TR. SWP also oversaw all traffic control services.
